Celebration of Steven’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday May 15, 2018 at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong,IL. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11:00am – 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Steven G. Waldrop Sr., 62, of Oblong, IL passed away on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born in Robinson, IL on June 2, 1955 to Floyd T. Waldrop and Della F. (Melton) Waldrop. On December 20, 1972 he married Betty J. Wierman who survives.
Steve worked as a laborer out of Local Union 1280 in Robinson, IL for 37 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Oblong High School Class of 1973, the North American Hunting Club and the National Rifle Association. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing and sitting on the porch watching his grandchildren play.
He is survived by his wife Betty J. Waldrop, Oblong, IL; three sons Steven Waldrop Jr. and his fiancé Annette Angle, Bellair, IL, Elmer Waldrop, Bellair, IL and Brad Waldrop, Oblong, IL. He is also survived by six grandchildren; an Uncle Bud and Barb Melton, Oblong, IL; cousins Kathy Barnbrook Davis and Junior and Linda Waldrop.
Preceding him in death was his parents and infant brother Tommy Waldrop.
